Summary
Returning his gaze, Dean is startled to find that Cas has closed the distance between them. He focuses on the bright blue eyes in front of him for a moment, and then it hits him. A literal flash of genius.
“Dude, yes. Get in me.”
Cas narrows his eyes and tilts his head in confusion, “Dean. There isn’t time for...that."
Dean bites back a chuckle. His lip ticks up into a lopsided smirk, “Cas, I’m the Michael sword. I’m a strong vessel. Get in me and I’ll keep you safe until we can find a way to get your body back. I’m saying ‘Yes’.”
Or
Dean says "Yes" to Cas as a way around the empty deal. Cas rides shotgun in Dean's head through 15.19 (the finale doesn't exist because it shouldn't). This is the equivalent of locking the boys in a room together until they talk about their feelings...only the room is Dean's brain.
*And yes, my chapter titles are a nod to the movie The Prestige. Specifically for the line, "Making something disappear isn't enough. You have to bring it back."

Summary
After four years of solitude on a remote island, Dean’s been through hell. But he’s home, he’s healing, and he has a very special gift for a man he’s never met. (Basically this is an AU of the movie Cast Away that takes place after the island.)

Summary
Blue Eyes tilts his head. A predatory smile twists his lips.
Dean squirms beneath his gaze. “What? Does it look like I know your name, demon-priest?”
“Mm. Names have a lot of power, you know.”
“God, why did I have to get stuck with the most pretentious demon that’s ever-”
“Mine is Castiel.”
And, oh, Dean doesn’t hesitate before wrapping his tongue around it.
“Castiel.” He likes it. Please, God help him, he likes it.
“Is there an echo?”
Jesus Christ.
——
Or, Dean is a hunter and Cas is the unendingly sarcastic sin-eating demon he accidentally binds his everlasting soul to, so now Dean has to deal with things like the passenger deciding what music to listen to (Taylor Swift), unceasing threats of vehicular harm, and a disturbingly high propensity for arson and knives.

Summary
Dean Winchester walks out of state prison with nothing but the clothes on his back and the ghosts of every mistake he’s ever made. Living under his brother’s roof means rules, curfews, and constant supervision—measures meant to keep him steady, to keep him clean. But loneliness is a dangerous thing, and Dean’s restlessness eventually leads him to the last place he ever thought he’d go: a church.
That’s where he meets Castiel—quiet, widowed, and hiding behind walls no one dares to climb. Dean’s never been good at boundaries, and something in Castiel’s sadness calls to him like a prayer. What begins as hesitant conversation turns into lingering glances, then late-night confessions whispered in the dark.
Dean doesn’t know if Castiel is salvation or sin—only that being near him feels like breathing for the first time. And when friendship starts to blur into something far more dangerous, both men are forced to decide whether love born in brokenness can still be holy.
**
Loneliness brought him to the church. Desire made him stay. Love might just save him.

Summary
This is the knit store AU that no one asked for but I wrote anyway, where Dean, Sam and Mary sell yarn and teach knitting and crochet. Dean’s also a firefighter, because who doesn’t love a man in uniform? Sam walks dogs. But just what is Mary doing at Surekill exterminators?
There’s Destiel and Saileen romance. Hijinks and happy times, with just enough angst and drama to keep the story going. A happy ending guaranteed.
Selling yarn, knitting things. The family business.
