Summary: Cardan thought Jude would know that his words were false and she would return from exile in the mortal world as his queen. To his surprise and distress, she did not. Even more distressing are the rumors floating around the court that Locke was killed at the hand of Taryn, and Jude had found herself in combat with Grima Mog. His fears are confirmed by his mother, Lady Asha. With time running out, Cardan rushes to the mortal world to find Jude before something else does. If he can't convince her to return, or worse, finds her dead, Cardan knows that his heart will wither without her.
Prompt: i have been thinking about the time jude was exiled to the mortal world and like the work she did and i would love a fanfic about cardan somehow finding out about her stumbling home injured etc (maybe he hears it from spies or like gossip among the court or maybe he has decided to show up at the apartment and catches her in the act — maybe instead of it being taryn that’s the guest in qon it’s cardan) and like him losing his mind because he is worried about her. i would especially love if it’s him finding out that she fought grima mog because it was really reckless of her.

When Madoc comes knocking at her door offering his assistance, she gladly accepts his help. Unbeknownst to her, Madoc takes a scheme to Cardan, presenting both of his daughters as brides with conditions of his own. Unable to refuse, Cardan accepts his terms and sends Taryn to retrieve Jude from her banishment in the mortal world and begins to plan his wedding to one of the Duarte sisters.
Prompt: a folk of the air/ cruel prince canon divergent fanfic where Taryn does kill Locke but Madoc finds out and as a condition for returning has Cardan swear 1. Pardons and rewards for his men, 2. To be named seneschal, 3. That Cardan marry one of his mortal daughters and make her his queen, 4. To pardon Taryn. Cardan agrees, and Cardan tells Taryn to get Jude because she is pardoned, EVERYONE assumes Cardan is marrying Taryn (He’s throwing a wedding for Jude though) and Madoc doesn’t mind as long as one of his daughters marries the high king because he loves both of them dearly and wants them to be treated as royalty
