“Do you know what I see when I look into the Mirror of Erised?” Gellert said softly against his ear. Albus tensed, his own visions flashing across his mind. “I see you, by my side, tearing down this pathetic world, strong and powerful and forever mine.”
For a moment, Albus could see it, too. He and Gellert, bringing the world to its knees, and rebuilding a new one, together and never again apart. He shook his head as if to send away the vision.
“Do you know what I see?” Albus said.
“What?”
“Your old haircut,” Albus said. He laughed at Gellert’s annoyed huff.

And Albus Dumbledore, the greatest and believed to be the smartest wizard alive, the man whose heart he’d broken, instead of becoming infuriated or angry, thinks of buying a new suit.
The ‘letter’ is crushed into a ball and tossed to his bedside before any thoughts can shape further.
Albus is decidedly not responding.

When the Ministry of magic discover Albus Dumbledore is a hidden omega, hell breaks open and a terrible decision threatens Dumbledore's freedom and is bound to change the war against Grindelwald, one way or another.
After the rally at Paris, the British Ministry of Magic is at shambles and some people push for desperate measures to bring to stop the Dark Wizard Grindelwald... like forcefully bring to heel the only wizard who is said to be a match for the man. Albus Dumbledore, who by 'happy' coincidence, has been revealed to be an omegan in disguise. Old bonds and magics are brought to the fore.
Albus sees how all his efforts to make a life worth something, after losing his family and the only one he has ever love, start to unravel before his eyes. He thought he would never go through another life-changing event like the one he already survived at seventeen... but he shouldn't be surprised that Gellert was once again at the centre of this maelstrom.
