Summary
Vox Machina have long since saved Exandria from dragons and liches, and now seek more peaceful lives. Amongst the Ashari, Keyleth feels the loneliness sharply, surrounded by her people as she is. Percy, ever overworked, is approaching his next birthday and Vex is struggling to pick out a gift for him. But one day, Keyleth reaches out to her half elf companion and voices her struggles. It doesn't take a ranger's eye for Vex to realize the gift she's been handed. So, when Percy arrives later than he promised he would (as Vex knew would happen) and misses his 'party', his darling wife surprises him with a birthday gift he will never forget.

Summary
Percy had cheekily started to refer to this as Vex and Keyleth’s Girls Night. It happened a few times a year, not as often as anyone wanted, and Vex would be completely unreachable while gone. Percy never worried for her safety, he knew Keyleth would never let anything happen to her. She was maybe as protective of her as Percy himself was.
Honestly, maybe more.
Keyleth of the Air Ashari the Voice of the Tempest and Vex’ahlia DeRolo; Baroness of the First House of Whitestone, Grandmistress of the Grey Hunt, Coinmistress of The Council of Tal’dorei, Champion of Pelor would sneak away from their respective duties, leaving all guards and personal assistants behind, and for one- maybe two nights- they were just Kiki and Vex.

Usually Beau sneaks off on her own for a while to find a good liquor to drown her sorrows and a cute biddy to drown out everything else; i.e her unrequited feelings for Jester. That was the plan for tonight as well— not much they could do until Fjord returned; she may as well avoid Jester’s sour mood and get her hands a little dirty.
Except, on her way out the door, Jester grabbed her by the wrist and begged to come along.
