Summary
Despite being the number two hero, Hawks is still expected to undergo and keep up with a lot of training, and a lot of training methods that the average hero most definitely doesn't have to endure.
It's during one of these training sessions that things go wrong in the worst of ways. Dazed, confused, and unable to even remember his own name, Hawks runs away from the training compound, and right into the arms of a certain villain.

Hawks panics. "Okay, alright, jeez, you caught me, I..." Hawks hesitates, gulps; tumbles forward, "Have no idea who you are." The eyebrow is still raised. "...Sorry?"
Crispy Cream doesn't say anything for a long moment. The mental pressure it creates makes Hawks want to babble, but he manages to hold his tongue this time.
"I can't tell if you're screwing with me or what," Crispy Cream drawls.
"It's the 'or what'," Hawks offers.
Hawks gets hit with an amnesia quirk. Dabi gets begrudgingly involved.

“Give it back,” Hawks breathes in a voice nothing like his own. Gone is the smooth charm and arrogance. He sounds wrecked.
Dabi blinks. “… Fuck no. Quit leaving them everywhere if you wanna keep them.”
Hawks stares for a moment, then swallows hard. “Dabi,” he tries again and it sounds way too close to pleading. It brings warmth to Dabi’s face, seeing the Hero so unraveled.
or: Dabi finds a feather, messes w it alone, unknowing, Hawks appears all worked up to get him to stop (they don’t stop)
