God knows it’s the longest, most quiet minute Jayce has ever experienced. Eventually, Viktor clears his throat. “Were you…Were you serious? About me joining you for Christmas?”
It's so quiet that Jayce almost misses it.
At some point, he also reminds himself to inhale. “Of course!” he breathes. “Viktor, I, I don’t want you to be here by yourself.”
A faint frown tightens Viktor’s brow again, deeper than the last, but it’s gone as soon as it appears. He sighs and nods, almost to himself. “Thank you, I…I will take you up on that offer. If that’s okay, of course, with your family.”

When Viktor receives news that the man who raised him has unexpectedly died, he couldn't have been happier. It was the soft, gentle touch to Rodimus’ lower spinal strut that had him rousing, and he did so with a quiet grumble. He was aware then of the alert on his HUD beeping at him for attention, and he let out a long, miserable groan that hopefully conveyed just how disheartened he truly was.
The touch on his lower back smoothed, slow and gentle, to curve over his aft, and a familiar voice rumbled, “It’s alright. I’ll take care of it.”
