Summary

What exactly are Aether and his ever so elusive sister, Lumine. While it sounds rude, it does plague the citizens of the world Teyvat as they gaze upon the exotic appearance of their hero. He experiences different things and does odd things that normal people like them couldn't understand, there is also the fact he seems to be addicted to gazing up at the sky, especially at night time when people are all asleep but he is the only one awake.
Some dare to ask who was Aether before he crashed into Teyvat, but they never do. As if there is an unspoken rule among them that they never knew that asking that particular question could possibly ruin Aether or, the very least, make him unresponsive. Even the most blunt person dares not to ask, seeing as Aether, while beautiful and wonderful, did throw himself to countless of battles and win everytime.

The only reason why he's even here is due to a cube goddess who intercepted his and his sibling's path. It was not their fault that they flew up there, this was what they were born for, to go into worlds and explore them. Were they wrong? Should they have never gone there? How would they have know, they can't even fly anymore.

Summary
Before they had their names they were just Sister and Brother, they only had each other and they were only born to be the Universe's amusment. Travelling worlds without properly taking them in, purifying or purging them-- It didn't matter. Their sole purpose of their creation was to be an entertainment to the constant eyes of the blank abyss that watched them, driving holes into their bodies and minds.
Before they were Aether and Lumine they were immortal beings unable to die, unable to live, unable to feel, unable to cross the threshold that situated themselves from others. They were outsiders, forever destined to peer in through a small crack.
Before they were Travellers they were lost and alone. Before they crashed to Teyvat they sought to find the meaning of life they took for granted, even if it meant their bodies would degrade, their minds would be torn apart, their voices be taken away...
Even if it meant they would one day point swords at their necks.
For they are immortal, and thus their tears would flood oceans.
