'Get up!' Aether urged himself, but his body didn't listen. His sword was destroyed, his arm was fucked, and he was losing far too much blood. Tears began to cut through the viscera on his cheeks as the image of Paimon, Kachina, and Varesa finding his corpse after he failed to pick her up the next morning flashed into his brain, and a sob forced itself past his bloodstained lips. If he didn't want that to be reality, if he didn't want to fail Paimon, there was only one more thing he could do.

On a commission, Aether is ambushed. There's only one more thing he can do; call Xiao's name.

And even as all this happens, Sharzad herself has issues to deal with. Between increasing preparations for her ascension to Queen, her powers have become unstable, changing and merging with her very being in a way they hadn't for two years. Zhongli told her removing the blocks on her powers would help her get stronger, but she wasn't anticipating so many changes so fast (her fathers might kill her when they learn about the dreams).
But Nabu Malikata once was an Angel and Amun once was a King, and Sharzad?
Sharzad is something else entirely.

Durin's revival is imminent, and a certain, secretive alchemist has disappeared off the map. As the corruption inside of him continued to wrestle for control, Albedo had not expected to find himself in staring into the familiar golden eyes of a stranger, and even less expected that she would offer him a deal he'd find hard to refuse.
What was supposed to be a relaxing visit to Mondstadt for Aether and Paimon turned into a race against the clock of the dragon's heart. But Dainsleif believes there is an even bigger threat on the horizon.

Aether n'aurait jamais dû se réveiller seul, sur une plage inconnue, et avec une douleur continue dans tout son corps, pourtant c'est le cas. Désespéré le jeune homme tente de partir à la recherche de sa jumelle, mais retrouver sa trace est beaucoup plus difficile qu'il ne le pensait : il ne connaît pas cette langue, des souvenirs lui manquent, et il semble être obsédé par les lumières rouges qui peuplent ces terres.
Aidé d'une compagne de voyage sauvée de la noyade, Aether se dirige sur le chemin de la Vérité, enfin c'est jusqu'à ce qu'il ne bouscule les lignes énergétiques de ce monde et qu'un autre homme étrange portant un maque de démon ne vienne se dresser sur son chemin.

Aether didn't expect to see his lovely Adeptus on route too, apparently waiting for him to arrive. Nothing about the war had left him in a good state mentally and he knew that the case was the same with most if not all of the citizens in Natlan. War left its marks on everyone, made a victim of any whom it touched and Aether was no exception. He would never forget the horrors he’d seen, all the people and Saurian’s he had seen die and all the destruction he failed to prevent.
He just needed to rest.

After being separated from his twin, Lumine, Aether is forced to travel the various nations of Teyvat in the hope of finding her again. However, as he does, he realizes there may be a lot more to this world than he first thought - including his first opportunity for friendship and, eventually, love.
Basically incorporates Aether/Venti into the canon story with a reeeeeeeeally slow burn friends to severe denial to lovers kind of plot. As in they don’t kiss until after Natlan kind of plot. But it also focuses really heavily on their characters and (if I do it right) will result in an emotionally meaningful story and relationship. Other than that, there’s just a lot of retelling of Genshin’s story and events with the occasional non-canon interaction because there have to be sillies somewhere

For as long as he could remember, Aether has been a phantom wandering the universe along side his ambitious sister until they’re attacked by a mysterious woman with incredible power.
He expected that this would be where his story would end, with him dying under some tree or being found and dissected like some animal by scholars. He had no idea what Teyvat would have in store for him next, showing him a life he’d never imagined possible for him. Or the hardships such a life would bring.
P.S: This started as a bunch of Aeventi food for Aeventi enjoyers, which it still is!!!
But at this point I thinks I should also mention that this is a rewrite of the prologue. So yeah, warning for content that wasn’t in the original story. I probably should’ve added that a while ago.

After his his sister Lumine, his only kin, the person who he wanted to turn the world for, willingly left Aether behind, for things he didn't even understand, ... something snapped within him. Did all his efforts mean nothing? Did all that pain and torment mean nothing to her? He had the deal with everyones problems, and to be left still holding his own, the thought just broke him down further. It resulting in Aether spiraling down, breaking anything in his way, including his own being. He couldn't take it anymore, being used like that for everyone, but him to have any benefit in the end. It left him in his most vulnerable state, leaving for the only oerson he could trust to try and piece that man that was once capable of holding his now, and was now a crying and bloody mess.
