Summary
For 5 years, Kim Soleum has been trapped in a darkness he stumbled into on accident and tirelessly worked as an ‘NPC’ in a darknesses akin to a game managed by ‘the system’, always playing the role of a ‘key NPC’ who helped new ‘players’ clear the first few tutorial worlds and died at the end, paving the way for the world clearance.
This job never seemed to end. But, one day, ‘the system’ informed Kim Soleum that there would be 10 more darknesses until his retirement. However, things don’t always go as planned. His coworkers from Daydream Inc. and Supernatural Disaster Management Bureau have entered the darkness and have tried to interfere with his role as the key NPC. Their meddling have gotten more persistent since the first world, after he demonstrated what he was supposed to do.
Kim Soleum: ?? Don’t tamper with my retirement plan and let me fulfill my role.
Lee Jaheon: My apologies, but I cannot stand being “indebted” to someone. Don’t sacrifice yourself again.
