Hindi alam ni Anaxa kung ano ang nakita niya sa kanya pero naging determinado ang itsura ni Phainon bago niya ibalik ang tingin sa kanyang Ate. “Pwede po bang ligawan si Kuya Naxa?”
Napatawa, lukso, at palakpak ang kanyang kapatid. Humarap si Ate Sophia kay Anaxa at sinabi sa kanya: “Liligawan ka daw, uy!”
Umirap ang mata ni Anaxa. “Loko-loko yan si Phainon. Hindi yan seryoso.” Sagot niya pero bumibilis na ang tibok ng puso niya at nagpapasma ang kanyang kamay.
Nangharana si Phainon kay Anaxa.
