Summary
Jack is 18, and he just got a job at the fire department. He's excited but also terrified, because his shift partner is even more intimidating than he expected. Jack has a lot to learn about firefighting and EMS, but underneath it all he's just searching for a sense of belonging.
Dean has been a firefighter for a long time. He's not interested in explaining the things he knows by heart to the new kid.
