Carmy stares down at the cooking tray of beef in horror. He hears someone, probably Richie, audibly go "Huh??" in the background. He doesn't dare look over at Syd, who he assumes is also mortified by this weird spin of the narrative.
"Berzatto assured me that The Bear is very much a family establishment. He just now shares ownership alongside his older sister, Natalie, and his romantic partner, Sydney."
His what? What could he have possibly said that made this woman believe he and Sydney were more than business partners?
