“You missed the turn,” he called out, voice calm but purposeful.
Hans didn’t answer.
Henry furrowed his brow, “Hans-“
“I know.”
Henry’s stomach dipped. Something in the way Hans said it set every nerve on edge.
“We’re not going back to Rattay.”
Henry blinked. “What?”
Hans turned to face him, slowing Cabullus with a gentle tug of the reins. His posture was straighter than usual, jaw tight but steady, and his eyes were clearer than Henry had seen in weeks.
“I said, we’re not going back,” Hans repeated. “I’ve made up my mind.”

Summary
Style is the only dominant Omega officer on the police force and put on the case to bring down known assassin and powerful Alpha Fadel. Despite falling for the charismatic man, Style forces himself to do his duty and turn Fadel over to the authorities, knowing he will never see Fadel again.
