It hunted. It maimed. It killed.
That was what was expected of it. What it needed. All it knew.
Until a hiccup in the script. Something new.
Her.
And something changed.

📎 (1) AttachmentI found this little guy on my desktop yesterday, messing around with some stuff. He emailed himself (???!) to you afterwards. A few times, actually; there was an orange one here before as well. Do you know anything about this? I swear I'm not making this up, and I really need someone to tell me my PC is not haunted by the ghost of every childhood scribble that didn't make it to the refrigerator or whatever. The mystery is driving me insane.

Big <unknown sign(s)> today, Goldie comments this cycle, as a greeting. You good?
Moon, who has only just finished salvaging the rest of the uncorrupted data and reformatting her damaged neuron, does not know how to communicate one of my scant remaining fragments of consciousness has been irreparably damaged, and all your hard work is nothing but garbage data. She does not even remember the sign for I am sorry.
It takes Moon about a hundred cycles, maybe more, to learn to communicate with the local scavengers.
