Finn laughs, raw and bitter. He's been a man since he was thirteen. Because that's what happens when you lose your virginity, right? You stop being a kid. When you kill someone with your bare hands, that's adulthood. You don't get to go back to glow in the dark stars on the ceiling and model rockets. That's all kid shit. And Finn hasn't been a kid in years.
"What do you want, Mando?" he asks, and he sounds angry and exhausted and cracked in half.

Summary
After fifteen long years on this earth, six months seems negligible, in the long run. Finney Blake survived six months in literal hell, and it felt like an eternity he wouldn't escape. But he did, and now he's here, in a new town after being uprooted by his deadbeat father. Finney can take a punch, he's learned from bullies; but to throw a punch, he learned from necessity. He knows he's strong from the shit he went through, and some stupid school bullies aren't going to cow him now. He's just gotten back up to a healthy weight for fuck's sake, he's not going to let some dumb-looking kid wearing a bandana as a headband ruin his high school experience.
