Summary
It was dark, neon lights casting a dim light on the alley and were reflected in the puddles of water. Trash was littered around, spilling out of over-full trash cans and bins. The smell was that of a typical alley– smoke, alcohol and piss.
The reason Peter knew for a fact that this was not New York, was not just because he realised he didn’t recognise the alley. It hadn’t rained in New York in weeks– the concrete here was freshly soaked. He slowly got to his feet, shaking all the way up. Tilting his head to the sky, Peter groaned, realising he needed to climb a long way to get a perch from where he could get some visual clues to where he was.
Neon lights flashed, lighting the buildings. The higher Peter climbed, the more the feeling of confusion set it. He didn’t recognise any of the brands, any of the signs in the city. The architecture was like nothing Peter had ever seen.
Old and gothic architecture mixed in with modern buildings. Solid stone, gargoyles and stained glass but there were tall skyscrapers and modern architecture around every corner.
“For fucks–.” Peter groaned as he sat on the ledge of the building and leaned on his knees. “Where the fuck am I?!”

Summary
After Dream of the Endless storms out of their 1889 meeting, Hob has a chance encounter with Magnus Bane, who is a part of something called the Downworld.
There is a world, and a people, who clearly need help, and to distract himself from the fight with his Friend, Hob throws himself fully into helping to protect the Downworld.
This results in him discovering that his Friend has been captured - prompting a rescue, and a boon that could keep the Downworld safe forever.

“Good evening, ma’am. What- what makes you ask that?” Fox kept his voice level with the ease of long practice.
“Your little passenger glows like a tiny star. He’s a Jedi, right? Are you showing him the city during your leave?”
“...Yes. Yes, that’s exactly what I’m doing.”

The door to the shop’s backroom opened and Zivsac’s assistant - a young, dark green skinned Tw’lek - looked up from a datapad as he spoke. “Boss, we don’t have- oh, a customer! Hello, sir, I hoooooo…” he trailed off as he registered who Fox was, but Fox had grabbed his purchases the moment the door opened, rushed out a quick “Goodbye, ma’am” and speedwalked out the door.As the doors slid closed he heard a loud “What the kriff!” and broke into a run.
