Summary
The lighting of Atlantis' halls has been turned down to a dim, warm orange light. They had discovered the setting a few days before the city wide Halloween party. The Ancients certainly didn’t intend to be used for it to be used as a festive decoration for a holiday they didn’t even have, but the new inhabitants had not hesitated to make it part of their planning. It makes the city darker but also warmer; the near twilight brings out a sense of danger that is both new and not entirely unpleasant.
[On the way to a Halloween party, Jennifer and Teyla compare costumes and discover hidden depths in each other.]
