It’s hard to heal. It’s hard to move on and simply live your normal life again despite everything witnessed from that one person just come to an end. It’s difficult to find compassion when you lose part of yourself within that person, and it’s not easy to come to accepting you cannot get them back. I know that the sun doesn’t stop for anyone and yet I keep wishing that the nights were just a little bit quieter with brighter burning stars. And that when I looked up at the sky, I saw you there shining down on me.
