And he fell silent again. Under the blue lights of the pool, so still, not blinking, his face morphing into an unreadable expression, Steve seemed a statue. One of those that appeared in the Art History books, an old Greek god or something. All perfect locks and gorgeous factions and sad eyes fixed into the void. When Eddie realized that he was staring, he tore away his gaze. He wondered if Steve could see that his cheeks were getting darker, too.
“Do you know what happened to Barb?” Steve asked, mimicking the soft tone, still not looking at Eddie. “Have we—Have we told you what really happened?”

Summary
Eddie thinks it would be cool to add a fake demon summoning ritual into his song lyrics. He thinks it’s even cooler when the summoning actually works... eventually. At first, though, he’s just wondering what the hell Steve Harrington is doing at his door.

“Dude.” Eddie threw him a look. “What’s wrong with you?”
“I know one of them.”
“Oh, and what would that be?” He couldn’t resist taking the bait.

Summary
Then all of a sudden the moments slow down, filtering through his mind like the sand in an hourglass, and when he blinks he’s got Hargrove pinned up against the brick with his fists.
Hargrove is momentarily too stunned to do anything about it. He’s still got a cigarette dangling from his mouth. He is also sporting a hell of a shiner, which makes something like satisfaction coil up like a snake in Eddie’s belly.
Apparently Steve doesn’t pull his punches, either.
“The fuck did you do to Harrington?” Eddie asks, his voice so low it’s practically a growl.
