Stories of compassion, of anger, of revenge, of justice. Stories of the clever and stories of the downright stupid.
But mostly the story of Terrans looking for the one thing that all beings desire: Friendship amongst a lonely universe.

Summary
For Serial Designation J, it's lonely being only effective disassembly drone in her sector of Copper-9. N was already a walking synergistic liability, but V couldn't be more obviously stressed and maladaptively coping if she tried. When a botched disassembly leaves V a nightmare-riddled wreck, the squad's effectiveness hits its lowest point. With disassemblers like these, you'd swear the worker drones show more initiative!
Uzi Doorman is a cool, independent worker drone. After Doll abandoned her, she doesn't need anyone else — all she needs is to finish her railgun and blow the murder drones anyway. Of course, if that plan goes wrong she'll be helpless at their mercy — dead, in other words.
Because J is a loyal drone. Locate, shutdown, disassemble. A simple directive she'd never hesitate to carry out. Right?

Any semblance he had to normal flew right out the window with the reappearance of the colony's local drifter, a fateful scavenging trip, and three new friends haunted by their ghosts of the past. With the reemergence of a terrifying program from the past, everyone finds themselves being thrown into a story about found family, loss, grief, and recovering from that grief.
