Summary
Theodore Atlas Nott knew he was destined to die young. That was… fine… he supposed.
To be fair, he’d seen death… a lot of death. His mother died before his eyes when he was just a wee lad, murdered by his own father no less. His favorite house elf was beheaded shortly thereafter. What fuckery, what trauma. Mind healers would have so much fun with him. He knew, one day, Thoros Nott would kill him too. So what was the point? Why send him off to school? Why not just end it all?
Death seemed more peaceful than being the Nott heir.
But shortly after boarding the Hogwarts Express he saw a golden-eyed siren, bountiful, wild curls flowing down her back and sun kissed, freckled skin. He watched from his compartment, heart hammering in his chest as she stood at the snack trolly. Something the lump of a boy beside her stammered made her laugh. It rang like a bell. There was so much.. so much… LIFE in it. He wanted to bask in her glow. He wanted to take that small ray of sunshine and protect it.. keep that fire burning. And at that moment, he knew he had something to live for.This is a non canon rewrite from 4th year and after the war. Multiple POV.

Summary
When half of Gryffindor refuses to believe Harry that Voldemort has returned, Hermione Granger finds herself dissatisfied with maintaining friendships just because they're convenient. It's a lot more interesting to seek out friendships with people that she actually respects.
Fred and George Weasley, to her surprise, top that list. They might not be stellar students, but the brilliance of their products speaks for itself, and their dedication to opening their own business is... well, it's downright admirable. Fred and George themselves, in fact, are quite admirable. Some of their ideas, though, could use some work. A bit of tweaking, a shred more research, a hint of know-it-all acumen.
Hermione might know just the girl to help them.
~*~*~This story asks the question "What if Hermione Granger fell in love with the twins in fifth year? What would canon look like then?" and then follows that thread through to the end of the war, with all the trials and tribulations therein.
