    No matter how prepared Ichikawa was, his brain just wasn’t catching up with him right now. For one moment he was ready to spar, and the next thing he knew he was blinking up after being pinned to the mat, hardly even aware of how he got there.

    And fuck. Suddenly having Hoshina this close… Ichikawa noticed how striking his scent was. It ignited something in him. It beckoned him. And somehow, it also calmed him. He wanted to reach up and pull him close. Because this sensation suddenly coursing through him…

    It was all consuming.

    Or, Reno always thought he was a beta. So when a wave of unusual heat-like symptoms hit him, he just pushed through it, but when he ended up sparring with Hoshina during training, the effect it had on him became undeniable. Or more, the desire he had for Hoshina became undeniable.
