He bends a little, taking her face in his hands, and looking deep into her eyes.
“I’m not going anywhere anymore, not if you don’t want me to.”
“I don’t want you to,” Nancy tells him, passionately. “I’d trade any other lifetime I could ever have, just to keep you, for at least one.”
Ace’s eyes fill with water, but his smile is amazing. He kisses all over her face, and then her lips, with so much affection it makes her heart double in size.
“And I give you all of my lifetimes, Nancy Drew,” he declares, and then dives back to kiss the smile off her face.

Summary
When she turns around, Ace is gulping, eyes traveling over her furniture and landing on the bed in the center of the room. He’s probably thinking about the last time he’d been up here, and on this bed. It was the closest they’ve ever got to actually… going all in. Nancy remembers vividly, their shirts discarded on the floor, his warm lips on the sensitive skin of her chest while his hands fumbled with the clasp of her bra. She’d been so elated with desire that night; she almost failed to hear when her parents arrived home. What came after was a mess of limbs, as panicked teenagers scrambled for their clothes.
Now there’s nothing, and no one, to interrupt them.

He sighs, running a hand through his hair, finally turning around to look at her. Nancy almost regrets coming here, because of the look in his eyes alone. His eyes, always so expressive, they pin her to the ground with the force of this... feeling. Whatever it is that he is feeling, disappointment more likely – anger perhaps. Whatever it may be, it's so intense that even though all of her body tells her to move, and just go, that she will not be able to handle this, whatever it is, she just can’t, can’t walk away from him now, maybe not ever.
