Summary
Gojo's eyes saw everything, everywhere, all at once. His brain struggled some days to take in all of the information, and the only thing that took the edge off of perceiving it all was to just not--by keeping his eyes closed, or wearing the absolute darkest sunglasses money could buy. Cursed energy came in all sorts of shapes and colors, and they way it moved and bent around people told him a lot about their personalities--not unlike Tsukumo, he supposed, and her 'What's your type of woman?' question.
But cursed energy was always a dull thing, muted and pulsing with the negativity that manifested it, even if the people it came from were well-adjusted and normal enough. Whatever normal meant, anyways.
Which was why, when he first saw her, he was shocked absolutely fucking stupid.
Her energy was bright, and soothing in a way he'd never even conceived before as possible. Like a bouquet of spring flowers that were still alive and growing in her hand, like she were Persephone herself standing alone in Hell. It was good, which was insane, because cursed energy was cursed. There wasn't anything good about it.
And once he saw it, he couldn't look away.

Of all the people in San Francisco she could break down in front of, it had to be Ben-fucking-Solo. She took a few steps backwards, intending to spin around and run away before she could embarrass herself any further, but a large hand wrapped around her wrist before she could.
“Wait.” He didn’t say any more for a second. He only looked at her, his eyebrows drawing minutely together, as if he was puzzling through a stubborn bug, an impossible problem.
Then, just as Rey was about to shake his hand loose, she heard him ask, “Do you want to?”
UK borne Rey Unkar thought she finally found a home in Silicon Valley: she has close friends that love her, a great career at Resistance Labs, a vacation to Puerto Rico in the plans, and even an online friend who she can nerd out with on all things C++.
