Clark looks between them. The alley. The way that Batman has been skirting in the shadows the entire night, trying to get away, before realizing that he couldn’t. He only confronted Clark when he gave up. Oh, Clark realizes, and feels all the anger drain from his body in one sweeping blow, the kid. He thought I was going to hurt him and the kid.
His kid.
AKA: After Lois gets hurt because of something Batman did, Superman goes to Gotham to talk. Bruce, however, is convinced that Superman is here to hurt him. To hurt Robin.
