"Is this blood?" Arthur murmured, feeling some wetness on his fingers that were around Merlin's shoulder.
"Are those bandages?" Gwaine said at the same time, pointing at the white cloth peeking from underneath Merlin's tunic.
Arthur lifted Merlin's tunic to check. To his horror, he discovered his whole torso covered in bandages, while Melin lay limp is his arms.

Lord Eldred, a visiting nobleman from Mercia, had arrived a few days before. Gwen had been the one to see him yelling cruel insults at the young servant the King had graciously lent him, and she’d told her Lady right after. Morgana would not stand for such dishonorable behavior of course, so it was to plan a revenge of sorts that her, Gwen, Arthur and Merlin were all gathered in a secluded alcove one summer's day.

Summary
After losing Arthur, Merlin semi-accidentally travels back in time. In an attempt to change the future, Merlin takes Morgana under his wing and trains her in magic, all the while trying to pretend he's not still in love with an Arthur who doesn't remember that they used to be married (in the future, that is), keeping an eye out for Morgause, and juggling Camelot's run of the mill crises. You know, the usual manservant stuff.
