Summary
If you drove up north from Rome, you would in no time get to Maranello, the iconic city of motorsport, the place of birth for one of the most famous Formula 1 teams in the world. There, as you drove down the streets, you would see names of the past champions, proof of their legacy, forever engraved, at least on these street plates in this town. Erik Lehnsherr dreamt of putting his own name on one of them, making sure if no one remembered him, at least this city would.
Charles Xavier never had a dream like that. He just wanted to do his job at McLaren, as quiet and unnoticed as possible. He didn't realize soon enough it would no longer be possible, as a Ferrari driver stumbled into his life and acted like the goal was theirs now, not just his.
