Summary
Simon Riley, known as “The Ghost of Manchester,” has spent fifteen years as the most feared hitman in Britain’s underworld, until one last job grants him a chance at a new life. “I have no fuckin’ clue what you two are on about,” Ghost stated tonelessly. “Fuck’s a Tim Allen?”
“You’ve never seen The Santa Clause?” Gaz asked, grasping at his chest in feigned shock.
“Seen ‘im? Just shot the guy.” Ghost wiped blood off on Soap’s shirt sleeve, making him swat at the hand. “Also, what about me made you think I watch a lot of Christmas movies? I need to correct that.”
“Ghost, you’d love it. Santa dies within, like, the first five minutes.”
“... Promising concept.”
A mission drags out and the 141 are stuck in the States for Christmas. Luckily, the Laswells welcome the extra company. While Soap misses his family, he doesn’t really mind spending the holiday with his second one.

Summary
The return to England after everything that happened in Las Almas and Chicago hits Soap harder than he'd care to admit. He'd be fine if his team were around to support him but with Price and Gaz still across the pond and Ghost vanishing like he tends to do he's having to cope alone.
Or he would be if it weren't for Riley.
AKA wouldn't it be fun if Soap had never seen Ghost's face in Los Almas and wouldn't it be more fun it they had been friends before that mission. Just Soap doesn't know it.

The 141 has been retired for years now, ever since the Taskforce was dissolved due to some bureaucratic nightmare. So the group of them opted to retire together rather than be reassigned separately. With funds from Nikolai, he and Price started Chimera Landscaping and Construction. And what began as a handyman group to keep themselves busy had grown into a thriving company with a dozen employees.
Last fall, you were hired on as a landscaper. You had always had a green thumb; plants seemed to thrive under your care, no matter what you did. You were recommended to them by a family friend, and now, months later, you couldn't be happier.
There was only a single problem with this... well, two problems... Johnny and Simon.

John’s stomach flips as he reads it over, fingers tightening around the phone, breath hitching tightly in his chest. He doesn’t regret what he said, because it’s true. He does want to know what it would be like. And yet, he can’t help how raw it makes him feel, how exposed. Like something has been peeled open inside of him, and John is helpless to stop it.
He doesn’t even know when these thoughts started, only that he’s been thinking them for a while. This wanting turning into a need, sharp and relentless, plaguing John’s every waking thoughts. He knows he could go to the bar, knows he could find a pretty lad or lass and settle the ache in his belly.
But that ache always comes back.
