Summary
In the Sengoku period, when warlords carve Japan into banners of blood and fire, the province of Iga stands apart - home to the shinobi, those known to the world as ninja.
When Iga is crushed under the Demon Daimyo Oda Nobunaga’s heel, Asami Sato chooses death before dishonour - only to be torn from the battlefield and delivered into the hands of a samurai who is not what she seems. Mizushima Korra, heir to a powerful retainer family, is bound by a promise made between fathers: to shelter Hiroshi Sato’s daughter, whatever the cost.
What begins as an unwanted burden soon tangles into something far more dangerous. Shinobi and samurai, shadow and steel: together they must navigate the tides of war, family debts, and the fragile trust growing between them. Yet in a world ruled by honour and betrayal, even the smallest truth could destroy them both.

Summary
This is another Book 5 story exploring the korrasami relationship. It’s been done before, often very well, and yet the world simply cannot contain too much korrasami fluff. This one centers around themes of trust, division, and tethers.
