One year after Frank and Karen reunite to take down Wilson Fisk, they are living their after. Most days are happy, but some…some are dark. On one of these dark days, Frank makes a wish. A wish that he’d never become the Punisher. What he doesn’t realize is that one of Karen’s sources for a new investigation has the power to grant that wish…but there’s a cost. As Frank learns more about what life could have been like if he never chose his war, he realizes that some possibilities are better left alone…and some people are better off dead. Summary
It seems that Fisk being behind bars isn't enough to keep him from threatening Karen. So to protect her friends, she makes a break for it until she can make a plan.
When Frank finds out Karen is in danger, he has a hard time remembering why he was supposed to stay away from her. He tells himself he will just make sure she is safe and then step out of her life again. That's what he tells himself.
