The ticking of the grandfather clock in the living room below started to irritate Tsukasa with every click. Nothing he came up with wanted to stick to the page; every idea, sentence, and word wasn’t right. He held his head in his hands to try and drown out the burning computer screen against his dark bedroom. His frustration was only broken by the sound of knocking on his bedroom door.
“Tsukasa? It’s me!” a bright, hushed voice called from the other side.
Very quietly and carefully, he crept across the room to open the door and let Emu in.
