    When Catalina sailboat, The Maria, gets stuck in a storm with a broken engine and sends out a mayday to the coast guard they call in the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution. Coxswain Steve Rogers and his team brave the storms, risking their lives to go and rescue it. Information slowly creeps in as the situation worsens and doubts creep in as to whether this will be a successful shout or will it end in tragedy.
