“What was life before joining the Demon Slayer Corps?”
Giyuu wasn’t sure who else spoke up to answer Kanroji’s question before his mind thought back to the life he had lived, all of the blood spilled for him to reach this far in life. Unfortunately for Giyuu, it wasn’t long before his mind suddenly turned down a dangerous road. It wasn’t unfamiliar for him to think back on his life and wonder what could have gone differently. Though that didn’t mean he enjoyed it.

Summary

With a soul-deep sigh, Ougai got to work, ignoring the judgmental and questioning stares he was most certainly getting from whoever could see them from the streets below. No matter how often he did this, the embarrassment of dragging his child out of whatever mess or tantrum she managed to brew up would likely never go away. The bandaged child honestly made him question if he regretted fishing her out of the river all those months ago.

Summary
Shoto was wholly lost in his grief. Nothing existed outside of the little bubble he created. All the dual wielder could do was cry, not minding the ice that slowly encased him.
All Shoto could feel was the all-encompassing cold that settled in his bones and the burning rage in his blood.

Summary
Toya, vowing to protect Shoto, grabs his youngest brother and runs away. Of course, nothing ever goes his way, and they run into trouble. Luckily, the brothers have a hero they can look up to.
With some help, Shoto can heal the way his eldest brother and siblings couldn’t. Maybe, with time, he could even make peace with the red and orange flames that raged in his dreams while also taking comfort in the warm blue flames that seemed to flicker with life within him.(this is an AU, so please don't come at me if it's not all canon)
