Louis tries to speak. It comes out a whine instead, breath catching as Lestat’s thumb presses gently into the swollen flesh along his lower gum.
The growing pains of being a fledging have caught up to Louis, Lestat makes it all better.

Summary
Lestat waits for Louis to continue, and when he hears nothing more, realisation starts to hit.
He looks at Louis’ feet, the back of his ankles pressed against Lestat’s thigh, and places his hand on Louis’ leg, runs it down until it wraps around Louis’ ankle, gently pressing over the flesh, the pads of his fingers stroking the skin.
“Louis,” Lestat says, quietly. “You still have them.”
Or: Louis and Lestat talk about the rocks.

Summary
Rashid hunts Armand down after the divorce and he and Fareed do their best to look after him, with varying degrees of helpfulness. Not at all related to my other Rashid fic where he is the straightest man in the VC.
“Why are you here?” Armand says. “Why shouldn't I kill you?”
“Because I don't think you should be by yourself,” Rashid says.
Armand's head whips back around. He sways on his feet. “And you think I'd want you, of all pathetic mortals to—”
“Sir,” Rashid says firmly. “I'm not here to spy on you. I'm here so you live long enough for someone else to spy on you.”
Armand stalks over to him, fangs out. Six feet of starving, enraged man-eater. Rashid doesn't back up, keeps his posture straight but not threatening. Anyway, he's taller than Armand.
