One fateful encounter in a chiral haboob sees Higgs Monaghan casting aside his plans for retribution to reunite father and daughter. If he falls into bed with Sam Porter Bridges and blows APAS's servers sky high along the way, well, never let it be said that the former herald of the sixth extinction didn't dream big.

Summary
"Oh, my dear, dear girl, if only you had heeded my warning," purred a familiar voice from the strange cuff, the small box apparently a speaker. Looking down at it, Claire noted with concern that the screen was now yellow as well.
"Alex?" She asked, dread pooling in her stomach like a ball of lead. It seemed her instincts had been right; the werewolf felt foolish for giving the older woman the benefit of the doubt, "What the hell?"
"Those bracelets change color in response to fear. So fear what you will become, and become what you fear."

Summary
Haarlep had finally found where they wanted to be, which of course meant the ever-turning wheel of fate had to throw a spanner in the works. Unfortunately for the forces at play, Haarlep was a creature of chaos, determined to prove just how catastrophic the butterfly effect could really be.
Or, the story of how Haarlep gets a tadpole-induced vacation, makes some friends, plays matchmaker, gives Raphael another stress ulcer, and maybe saves Toril along the way.

Summary
Blood in his teeth; something he can spit at Sam and feel good about.
He remembers the moment Sam had twisted just right in that current, and driven Higgs off of him. Came up from the waters in a spray of desperate rage and had all but thrown himself at Higgs in order to slam him backwards against the rocks.
He’d had it. For a moment. He loosened his grip as Sam’s movements began to slow. Lost his fucking focus.

Summary
Sam shifted his weight anxiously from foot to foot, spring-loaded and ready for anything he might try to throw his way. “What is this?” he panted. “Are you real?”
“Oh, I’m as real as it gets.” Palms upturned, Higgs slowly began to lift his arms out to his sides. “Now, this little game of ours may have been on pause for a while, but what do you say we get back to it, hmm? Amelie or no Amelie, the big number six is—” His voice faded.
And then he stopped. He froze in place, and even at a distance, even under the hood of his suit, Sam could tell something was wrong.
Then the BTs came, screaming and clawing and bubbling up from the ground at Higgs’ feet. Sam drew his weapon, but there was no need. They were focused on Higgs, and Higgs alone. Very quickly, he began to sink into the tar.
Sam doesn’t know why he did what he did. He should’ve turned and walked away; let them drag that fucker down with them where he belongs. Maybe that would’ve tasted like justice. Hell, the place was already a crater – what more damage could a Voidout even do?
But no. Instead, he ran straight towards the fray.

Summary
After the devastating events of his last Australian Q-pid expedition, Sam Porter Bridges is a man haunted by grief, guilt, and ghosts that refuse to stay buried. Alone once again and desperate to outrun his past, he throws himself into the endless grind of porter work, until a figure from that past reappears in the most impossible of ways.
Higgs, long presumed gone, resurfaces. Damaged, but still dangerously charismatic. When Sam makes the mistake of accepting one more pizza delivery request, he finds himself face-to-face with the man who nearly destroyed everything he held dear. But this time, the encounter ends not only in violence, but in something far more unexpected: a plea for help.
Caught between anger, resentment, and a flicker of reluctant empathy, Sam must decide whether redemption is possible for a man like Higgs, or if some monsters are better left dead in the tar.
In short: a post-Death Stranding 2, Higgs-focused fix-it, heavy on grief, depression, and the slow, messy process of learning how not to be a monster anymore.
