Summary
Petals rest on the water like a scene out of one of the movies Gold is always forcing him to watch. When the cherry blossom petals flutter down from the trees, landing in ponds, rivers, lakes, and even street puddles, to make everyone stop and stare, pointing out their beauty, and snapping pictures of the sight before going about their day.
There's nothing beautiful, or picture-worthy about the scene in front of him. Not with the way blood falls off the flower petals as the water swallows them, leaving streaks of red to run down towards the bottom of the bowl. Or the drops that continue to drip into it as Silver tries his best to spit out the metallic taste in his mouth.
The hanahaki disease is born through yearning after inaccessible love. Many tend to forget that the love doesn't have to be romantic.

Depressingly, being teleported randomly onto what seems to be a cruise ship in what's almost certainly not Kanto barely even registers as one of the strangest things Giovanni's had to deal with recently.
Really, given the lack of police, it would even be arguably welcome if he had the slightest idea what had happened.

Summary
While everyone piles into the living room to gather around the Christmas tree, he slips away from the group. Their voices get quieter with each step, until he's sliding the door to the backyard shut behind him, and the only reminder of the party going on inside is the warm amber glow that spills onto the deck. Snow crunches beneath his boots as he makes his way towards the edge of the deck, and he tries his best to ignore the cold nipping at his cheeks, and the snowflakes falling on his hair.
Silver doesn't want to be at this party, but it was too late to change plans. And even if anyone asked why, he wouldn't be able to tell them.
