Summary
David longs to card his fingers through dark curls.
To press his pale, cold lips to that warm, tan temple, thrumming with life and all the things David can't have.
But, in the end, that's exactly what he is: something that David can't have.
He supposes that, in the mean time, the shared cigarette between his lips will have to do until the day he can make him his most prized possession.

This makes no sense to Michael. "Bit late for that, isn't it? His blood's already in me."

Summary
Someone throws a bottle at John and knocks him flat. It doesn’t hit him in the head, but it impacts his shoulder and along with his flinching from the shards and the drink he’s had, it sends him tumbling on his arse. After that he doesn’t quite follow what happens, but he hears Chas roar angrily, the dull thuds of fists against flesh, then the frantic voices of their friends.
By the time John gets himself back to rights, there’s a man groaning and bloodied on the ground, and three people are holding Chas back bodily as he fumes.
