Summary
Colt and Ryland led normal lives at first. Colt was a stuntman turned engineer and Ryland gained his PhD at a young age and was adept on microbiology and chemistry. They were noticed and dragged in by the government for their infamy and intelligence. Forced to be agents, an unstoppable duo, missions became a normal part of their daily life. Colt hated it. Ryland just learned to put up with it. It wasn't until they were given a certain assignment in Dubai that they are slapped with some harsh realities and finally reuniting with an older brother after years of no contact.

Holly lowers her head to Dovepaw’s level. “I’ll save you. I’ll tell you something no one else will,” she says, slow and calm and not like she is speaking about what ruined her life and tore her from her kin. “StarClan only cares about you if they can use you.”

Things are different when she is an apprentice. Suddenly there is so much she can't say. Suddenly there is so much she knows.
Jaypaw shares prey with her in the evenings and asks her what she's learning and Hollypaw can barely get two words out before she has to stop herself.
"I'm learning about infection," she begins, and then stops. "Leafpool and I went for a walk," she tries, and then stops. "I miss you," she says.
Her words are dangerous. If she says too much, Jaypaw will be exiled. If she shares an omen, she jeopardizes the careful trust StarClan places in seers. If she tells him how much she misses sharing a nest with him and Lionpaw, she reinforces their bond instead of distancing herself from it.
