No matter how tall, muscular, kind and handsome they were. It didn’t matter that when he stood next to Himejima that he felt comfortable, even small in his presence, wondering what it would be like being wrapped in his arms. He certainly did not feel his blood pressure rise and his heart skip a beat the day that Himejima asked to feel his face with his hands to ‘see’ what he looked like, and he did not want to pull the man down by his clothes and kiss him when Himejima said ‘I knew you would be handsome.’

Summary
For a very long time, Sanemi has known she'd rather be a girl. But given the sorry state of her life, there's bigger things to focus on, and it's not like she could ever change something like that anyway. So she ignores it, hides it, and pours all her energy into hunting down demons.
Until eventually, she's sent to look into the disappearances on the Mugen train. She expected the Lower Moon. But what she never expected was the Upper Moon who took one look at her, declared he didn't fight women, and fled.
Baffled by how the demon even knew such a thing, but even more certain she could easily kill the Upper Moon if he wasn't going to take her seriously, Sanemi makes it her new mission to hunt him down.
And well... how could Akaza not get attached to a slayer with such an overwhelming fighting spirit, who is bound and determined to fight him every chance she gets?

One of Puppet Yoriichi’s hands goes to reveal it. A wooden training sword. It’s a wooden training sword sticking out of its crotch, partially opened from the clasps from its hips, their intense brawl probably having loosened it.
Kokushibou stares at it unblinkingly. It occurs to him that maybe it wants him to perform maintenance. “I’m not your creator,” he says simply.
Puppet Yoriichi doesn’t react and instead presses its larger body against him harder, slowly moving the sword against Kokushibou’s thigh.

Kokushibou has a fateful encounter with Yoriichi Type Zero and starts venting out at it as a stand-in for his brother. Unbeknownst to him, the real Yoriichi descended down from the afterlife to spiritually inhabit his puppet and meet his brother one more time.
