Summary
But he has to sing to Keith, and leave it to Keith to make things difficult.
“Keeeith.” Lance slumps his head against the door. There’s no response. “Keith, Keith, Keith, Keith—”
The door swings open and Lance falls through. He gets a facefull of Keith’s bare feet, and he doesn’t know whether the cushioned landing is any better than the hardwood floor.“Oh look,” Lance says. He rolls over so that his body isn’t crushing his guitar and stares up at Keith’s face. “I’ve fallen for you.”

Summary
“Oh come on, kitten, you know you couldn’t kick my ass in my own turf.” Lance teased, gesturing around the room.
They both knew he could though, that he had. Their secret sparring sessions predated their secret… other sessions. And while Lance patted himself on the back knowing he could hold his own against Keith most of the time, the memory of those early days of bruised skin and bruised pride lived fresh in his mind.
“Are you really gonna waste a good night by making me fight to deflower you?” Lance cooed, though he took a few steps back in the direction of the king-sized bed. “Worried if you go down too easy they’ll all be talking about it? That you’ll be known as a slutty royal bedwarmer? That they’ll know you fawn over the charming Prince Lance’s swor—”
He knew what was coming, and reached out his arms as Keith threw himself forward at maximum force. For the second time in the past few minutes, he and Keith were tumbling backwards. Lance’s laughter rang through the room all the way.
Hot damn, the best nights always start with this.

Summary
“You know,” Lance sighs, his lips twitching upwards as he turns slowly to meet Keith’s eyes, his own eyes blinking tiredly, “Now that I think about it, I never said I love you.”
Lance frowns when he sees Keith sob at his words and he wishes he could raise his hand and break the glass that separates them if it means he could wipe Keith’s tears away.
“Baby, it’s okay.” Lance tries to comfort, his left eye that was swollen shot has gone numb by now and he can’t feel the pain of his dislocated shoulder anymore, which he’s pretty sure that’s a bad sign, but right now, all that he cares about is Keith.

Summary
“My Abuela said it,” Silvio insists. “She said you have to wear the hat, because you have a pale ass so you’re going to get skin cancer and die before Lance even wakes up.”
Keith looks between the children and the hat, too confused to glare, sweaty and horrid from pulling weeds beneath the scorching sun. “What?”
“That’s wrong,” Nadia complains, and yanks her brother down to her level to whisper the correction in his ear.
“Ooh,” Silvio amends. “Tía Veronica said you have a pale ass. My Abuela said you’re gonna die.”
OR
When Lance is fatally wounded during their final battle, the blue lion enters a deep hibernation with Lance inside. Unsure when or if he’ll wake, Keith is forced to wait and watch over him in the company of the people he fears most: Lance’s family.

Summary
“So will you?”
Keith blinks. “Will I what?”
Lance chuckles, holding up one of the wheat rings and taking Keith’s hand. “Marry me?”
Keith’s gaze flickers between Lance and their hands, watching as one wheat band is slipped onto his third finger, as is the other onto Lance’s. His lips pull into a pout, pulling his hand back to cross his arms with.
“You’re not just asking that for fun, are you?”
Lance blinks, processing the question. “For fun?”
“Yeah, for fun,” Keith huffs, looking away, “games, not for real…”
Lance snaps into gear, shaking his head right away. “Oh! no, it’s not— I’m not,” a hand flings up to cover his heart, “I’m honest, Keith.”
Keith’s eyes scoop to Lance again, never having much strength to take them off of him anyway. But he’s skeptical, looking him up and down with narrowed eyes. “Promise?”
Lance cracks into another one of his gentler smiles. The ones that have wedged their way into Keith’s heart from the moment he met him.
“I promise.”
