Summary
“You care about her, huh?”
Wednesday did not look up. “Care is a vulgar word. It implies affection. What I feel is responsibility. Enid has the unfortunate quality of being my friend. That makes her mine to protect. When others threaten what is mine, I respond.”
Fester chuckled. “That’s love.”
She finally raised her eyes. “Love is a marketing term. Responsibility is accurate. Accuracy matters.”
“Whatever you say, kiddo. Still smells like love to me.”

Summary
“I’ve been thinking a bunch,” he admitted softly, “about the whole Overworld thing. I mean… I guess you have, too; we all have, I think.” A little awkward laugh punctuated the admission; she nodded gently in agreement. It had been hard to think about much else after all they’d been through the last few days. “And I remembered our first night…”
He stepped slowly into the bedroom, taking a little breath. “When we were up in that tower, before Steve showed up… did you think we were gonna die?”
In the aftermath, Henry and Natalie talk. It helps.

Summary
Set directly after season 2 part 1.
There were two EMTs working furiously to stabilize her friend, their hands were all over her, placing a splint around her neck and stabbing her with syringes.
Wrong wrong wrong, Enid growled. Wednesday hated to be touched, and one layer of latex gloves wouldn’t change that.
“Wednesday,” She said, somewhere between a breath and a whimper. Her own fingers itched to reach out and grab her hand, to find a pulse beating in her wrist, but she didn’t, even though Wednesday was more comfortable with Enid touching her than anyone else, she couldn’t let herself do it without her knowledge. Not while she smelled of blood and rot and death. Enid inhaled deeply, working to control her pounding heart. Wednesday smelled so wrong.
