“Higuchi.”
She jolted, whipping her head in the direction of the voice. There was… someone, at her bedside, looking at her with a glaring frustration that she wasn’t quite sure she deserved. He, she thought hysterically, looked like an adult who never quite left his emo phase. His hair was kind of cool—mostly black, with white tips on the frontmost strands that must have required at least four packets of bleach. But he was wearing a cravat for some reason, and she had to admit it lost him some points. In her opinion, it went out of style for a reason.
Or; after losing her memories during an assignment, Higuchi needs to learn what a mafia member acts like. She can admit it could have gone better.

According to the internet, there’s a procedure for this. And really, when has the internet ever been wrong? Something like flowers, or a letter, or even a candlelit dinner would work. Probably.
Probably not.
Higuchi groans as she scratches out yet another idea from her (formerly) very cute notebook, the purple ink she’s writing in soaking thickly through the pages.
(Or; Higuchi just wants to get a date with the hot goth girl she works with at her café. Why is the entire universe against her?)

Obviously, Poe was fucking tired. He was hungover in a foreign country, and he hadn't even wanted to be outside anyway, so of course Karl had run off. And obviously, Poe was terrified (because where the hell was Karl), but he was also pissed off. And light hurt. Light really hurt.

Poe was one-hundred percent not qualified for this. He looked over to Kyouka, who was staring at her feet. Usually, Atsushi spoke more than enough for the two of them. But he wasn’t here right now, and Poe was at a loss for what to do. He was a kid once, right? What did kids like?
(After an incident with a criminal skill-user, Poe realizes that maybe, he and Kyouka are more alike than either of them would have thought.)
