"Where are you staying?" Lestat asked, not looking in Louis’ eyes, voice rough.
"Fifteen minutes away," Louis tilted his head, Claudia-like motion of curiosity. Lestat wasn’t sure whose it was first. The obfuscation almost made him smile.
"It is not that far, but," Lestat swallowed, "I have a raincoat you can take.”

Summary
Lestat is argumentative with the staff, he's giving Daniel absolute Hell, and he's prone to disappearing for hours at a time when he is supposed to be recording or rehearsing. He is self-destructing, a violent nosedive back into his worst behavior, and all of it is being filmed for the world to see.
Or, at least, that is what Louis had heard from Daniel's colorful recounting that he stubbornly beamed straight into his head.
(Or, a bad filming session brings back horrible memories for Lestat. Louis is left to pick up the pieces.)

"Louis," he says, only an actor's iron grip upon his voicebox keeping his tone as soft and level as his love no doubt needs it to be. "Where is our sister?"
"I don't know," Louis replies, and his voice is slow and empty.
Claudia rides her train into the dawn, and Louis is left alone with Lestat.

Summary
“When I told you this city is my home–” Lestat starts. “I was being truthful. There’s no other place I could ever live but here.” The crooked smile on his lips turns a bit sadder. “This is where I met you.” He pauses, then says, “Where I lost you.”
“You didn’t–”
“I did.” There’s tenderness in the back of his gaze, so much of it Louis almost feels out of breath. “Do not soften the blow for me, Louis. We both know I don’t deserve it.”
Louis says nothing for a moment. The weight of the years they’ve shared presses against his chest, as if Lestat had stretched out his arm and his hand had come to rest right where his heart is furiously beating like a hummingbird. He wonders if they’ll ever make peace with it, or if the work of living is just this – to accept the burden of it, and carry it as best as they can.
Then, he sighs. “I’m here now.”
or: four times Louis comes back to New Orleans, and how he finds his way back to Lestat.

Summary
Hizashi never put much bite behind his emotion-fueled statements. It was illogical to make them more than they were.
But when one statement makes Aizawa think perhaps his own lingering trauma is an unnecessary burden to Hizashi, he comes to the conclusion that he should free his newly established partner of it.
