"A retired soldier? How the hell would it care for a child?" Enderia sneered. She had come with her son, Ranboo to a store that sold androids. They had gone to the caretaker section. She needed something she knew could keep her baby cared for properly. An android that had previously been a soldier used for war that was simply rebuilt to be a caretaker due to Cyberlife not wanting to waste it didn't seem like something she particularly wanted to be around her son.

"Will...Will you hold my hand?" Niki didn't hesitate. She moved to Ranboo like holding their hand was the most important thing in the world. They hadn't realized how heavy the pressure was on their eyes until it was released with an onslaught of water and hiccups. It hurt. Niki took their hand and moved her other one to caress their face and swipe at tears. Niki hummed a melody. It was beautiful. Ranboo didn't want her to stop.
That's it. That's the last thing Ranboo wants to hear. They want her melodies. No talking. Soft melody they can fall asleep to.

Techno had promised himself that he'd become the person that Ranboo needed, for lack of better words, he wanted to protect them, help them, they struggle so much, and after gaining the trust that Techno hardly gave to others the kid had wormed their way into his heart. Techno promised himself he'd help Ranboo. And Ranboo would be the last traumatized child he'd open his heart to.
Then he fell asleep.
It seems he'd allow one more after all.
