Ennard had the right idea but poor execution (skin suits rot). What FNAF animatronics really need to escape their little hell is like what Glitchtrap managed: outright possession.
Iris is a normal young woman a lot like me. That is until the night she begins receiving dream visits from Freddy Fazbear himself. As she retains more and more from these repeated nightmares, she comes to fully appreciate the ultimatum he gives her: come to Freddy's in person to serve as a hand-picked body donor and swap bodies with them, or repeat the classic FNAF experience (among other tortures) every night in dream until her life is ruined anyway and she goes mad. -

They go from such unbeatable highs in Legendary Griefers to such a hopeless low at the beginning of Wanted Men, and I wanted to answer how that happened. Must have been pretty rough, no? To lose everything but your best friend after having achieved your perfect life?

Summary
Jeff has a new job at the local mall: security night guard at Fazbear Playland, an open-plan three room indoor play area. Just make sure they don't wander off for 6 hours as you walk among them. Sounds easy, right? Unfortunately, the animatronics can talk and they sound particularly alive at night…and they begin to think he's malfunctioning! They forcefully insist he get help from Doc Bonnie, the animatronic who moonlights as mechanic-doctor at night. When Doc Bonnie examines Jeff, he discovers…*GASP*…SKIN all over him. Flesh, as he calls it. This calls for emergency surgery. See, Doc (and all the other bots here) doesn't believe Jeff is human, even when Jeff admits to this. After all, humans don't exist at night, right?! Rather, this flesh must have inexplicably grown over this poor animatronic, and all that moisture on top of his sensitive electronics must be what's making him act so strangely, as well as threatening to degrade and destroy said electronic components completely!

Summary
A girl is trapped in a dream with the originals working her over in a hospital setting that progressively gets worse and worse...yes, another dream story, though much simpler and more direct than Club Bitter Pizza, just the one dream basically. And yes, another "doctor" type story. I don't know why I'm so attracted to that, I just am.

All portal characters are very well written, even though this author seems to be more of a Invader Zim fan. Lots of moving parts to the plot, everybody moving with different intentions... plenty of buildup to the main story instead of "x character wakes up in testing, oh nos", which makes the whole thing more satisfying. Body horror mostly centered around Zim and GLaDOS's malicious curiosity to have a real alien to study. Unique core characters, even. I love this and I'm on my third rereading as I write this.

Summary
After being released from Aperture, Chell spends months struggling to survive in a post-apocalyptic world where society has regressed to a point where people are divided, distrusting, and violent. Meanwhile, GLaDOS has found that current-day humans make terrible test subjects due to their fear of technology and belligerence. When someone attacks and nearly kills Chell, GLaDOS takes the opportunity to bring her back to the facility and make her test in exchange for medical attention. Forced to work together to survive, they try to make the best of their situation. Gradually, the two begin to trust each other, and realize that they need each other in more ways than one.

I have been obsessively rereading this completely every time a new chapter comes out and just as obsessively refreshing the page waiting for the next chapter sometimes multiple times a day. Highly recommend if you're into Portal, it's awesome.
