Summary
In both worlds, a little boy went out to gather herbs for his mother. In both worlds, that little boy got lost. In both worlds, a wandering elf pointed the way home to the little boy. In both worlds, the elf made a field of flowers to help the little boy relax.
In one world, the little boy would go home, eventually become an orphan, befriend a drunken priest in training, and at some point, that young man would start a journey to kill the demon king. The man would one day find the elf again, and invite her into his party. In this world, a False Hero, a Drunken Priest, a Cowardly Warrior, and an Elven Mage killed the demon king.
In another world, the little boy’s mother is deathly ill. Despite being scared, in this world, he was just a little bolder, asking the elf if she could maybe help his mother. In this world, the elf and boy stick together, alongside the drunken priest in training. In this world, the group forms early, forming unbreakable bonds of love and trust. -

With Renoir’s final Gommage looming over them, Gustave is constrained to accept co-leading the expedition with Verso, a powerful Alpha. To add to Gustave’s frustration, his own Alpha dynamic has weakened—command lacks authority, need for control is secondary and his sensitivity to pheromones is deficient. As if he needed all of that while trying to save the canvas…
Apparently, such was the price of being reborn from old chroma.
But the true cost lingered…

Summary
While Clea continued to feverishly investigate missing persons cases and his mother continued to paint, he is certain that there was nothing he can do to help his family. Until a small act of kindness committed by Verso, when he saved the life of a tiny man, and the resulting acquaintance, could finally shed light on his little sister's disappearance.

When he returned to Verso, he did not hesitate.
"She could not go through with it," he said in a rush, keeping his voice low enough that only Verso could hear. "The engagement. I offered to take her place. I know this is irregular, I know you have every right to refuse, but I am asking you—"
Verso's hand tightened on his waist, and Gustave's words died in his throat.
"Why?" Verso asked, his pale eyes fixed on Gustave's face with unsettling intensity.
"Why you?" he clarified, his voice quiet but intent. "Why sacrifice yourself for her?"
The question caught Gustave off guard. He opened his mouth, closed it again, searching for the right words.
"Because she is my sister," he said simply. "And I would do anything for her."In Belle Époque France, an old promise binds two families. Summary
Verso knows his soul is not original to him. A stitched-up, fractured, and glued-together thing, stained with memories not his own and heavy with the grief of unimaginable loss. His very existence is a farce, a tragedy played out in canvas and ink. He wants nothing so much as to end it. To give the ragged remains of a soul back to the one who created him, let her find someone else to carry the burden and the memory of the man to whom it once belonged. And yet. And yet, still, buried deep inside him is the desire to make this second-hand soul his own. To take the old discarded thing and make it into something new. To live, as they all deserve to live. All he needs is someone to show him the way.
