In another world, the little boy’s mother is deathly ill. Despite being scared, in this world, he was just a little bolder, asking the elf if she could maybe help his mother. In this world, the elf and boy stick together, alongside the drunken priest in training. In this world, the group forms early, forming unbreakable bonds of love and trust. -

The Pride & Prejudice AU you didn't know you needed.
When he returned to Verso, he did not hesitate.
"She could not go through with it," he said in a rush, keeping his voice low enough that only Verso could hear. "The engagement. I offered to take her place. I know this is irregular, I know you have every right to refuse, but I am asking you—"
Verso's hand tightened on his waist, and Gustave's words died in his throat.
"Why?" Verso asked, his pale eyes fixed on Gustave's face with unsettling intensity.
"Why you?" he clarified, his voice quiet but intent. "Why sacrifice yourself for her?"
The question caught Gustave off guard. He opened his mouth, closed it again, searching for the right words.
"Because she is my sister," he said simply. "And I would do anything for her."In Belle Époque France, an old promise binds two families. When the promised bride refuses, her brother steps forward instead—binding himself to a man shaped by pride and expectation. Summary
He plunges his sword into the ground — a familiar, practiced motion. The world pauses for a moment, and he sees the purple threads of blighted chroma ensnaring Gustave; pulls, yanking them towards himself. The pulsing chroma freezes for a second, tightening around the engineer. Then, like a pouncing predator, jumps at Verso.
The world starts moving again. A wave of nausea and fatigue almost knocks Verso to the ground, and it’s a miracle that he manages to dodge the next attack.
Gustave is staring at him, trying to process what just happened.
“Run,” Verso croaks.

Gustave survives his encounter with Renoir, all thanks to the help of a mysterious (and handsome) stranger named Verso. While Gustave is grateful, he also remains on guard, uncertain about why Verso has so graciously decided to not only help, but also join their expedition. Driven by curiosity, he chats with the man, determined to find out more.
However, with each conversation, Gustave discovers new and surprising depths to Verso. At the same time, he finds himself being drawn closer, both physically and emotionally, something that is as frightening as it is electrifying.

Vernon Roche remembers nothing of his life. He wouldn't have even known his name, had it not been screamed at him by the first people he met. He would have chalked it up to bad luck, if he wasn't forced to fight for his life again and again and not even know why. It seemed he had made many enemies in the past. The first person who recognises him and doesn't immediately try to cut off his head is a one-eyed elf.

When Gustave wakes to find Lumière decimated and his friends beaten and bruised, his first instinct is to run to the sound of Maelle’s voice calling his name; her cries like a battering ram to his fragile heart, smashing it to pieces. He doesn’t know how he’s alive, or why. But when he tries to hug her — to hold his darling girl in his arms — she collapses.
And that’s when he realizes something is very wrong.
TLDR; Gustave was revived in Act III but something went horribly wrong.

Summary
Verso is convinced that the expeditioners were growing weaker because they were gradually losing their dynamic. Verso hasn’t sensed another alpha strong enough to be a threat in decades. He has also never met a beta or an omega who could match his dynamic.
Enter: Expedition 33— with his headstrong soon-to-present alpha sister, a strong female alpha that makes Verso’s skin crawl, an intriguing beta who keeps trying to sleep with him, and Gustave, who says his dynamic must be broken because he’s never presented and is apparently immune to alpha commands.
Verso accompanies Expedition 33 and, against his better judgment, ends up saving Gustave, the only person Verso has met on his more than six decades on the Continent who can stand the strength of his dynamic and commands— a development which confuses them both and throws a wrench in Verso’s well-laid plans.

Summary
Gustave died on that cliff, he knows he did. And yet he wakes up in Lumiere to find the number on the monolith gone, the Expeditioners of 33 and the last Gommage alive, and Maelle's hair is white.
Secret third ending to the game where Maelle and Verso found a compromise that will eventually lead to a happy ending for both of them. Gustave has to process what he's been through and Verso has to learn to live again, maybe with the help of Gustave ;)

Summary
A canon-ish AU where Gustave lives and many things ensue. Possibly depressing things. I love angst so that will likely seep in in many places and fits well with the overall theme of the game. A lot of the plot points will be the same, save for the growing strained and confusing relationship between the two. Some spoilers ahead.

Summary
La douleur exquise, they had begun to call it — “the exquisite pain.” Love, unrestrained, unrealized, with nowhere to go — transformed into a poison that slowly choked its victims upon their own desire. The feeling of wanting someone so badly you wanted to die from the agony, knowing that you will never, ever, be theirs — ceaselessly growing from within until the grief of wanting slowly chokes you and shreds you from within. The flower of death, fleur de mort, fertilized by yearning that will never bloom.
For Verso, it was a distant concept, worth less than a passing daydream. At least, until the first blood-stained petals fell from his lips in a shadowed alleyway of Lumière, stinging and biting at his throat on its hacking way out.

Summary
Verso was always envious of these happy couples he could see either in Lumère or within Expeditons. Sometimes he would even witness some people noticing who their True Mate was and how their faces would lit up as if it was the most beautiful day in their lives. All of that despite living in a doomed world. It failed once, but she wasn't the right one. He, too wanted to feel this. He wanted to finally be able to hug and cuddle with the one he would call his Mate. He wanted to be happy.
So when the 33rd Expedition arrived on the Continent with Maëlle and Him, how will he resist and fight the walking temptation that is Gustave and his sweet, wonderful smell and smile?
Simple, he fails to.

It took just a few conversations, some drinking, and a desire to move on with their lives for Verso and Alicia to convince their parents to share their old painting techniques and tutelage with the world. After all, it's not like it's terribly difficult to set up art streams. Right?
