“I know,” Chaebin says sympathetically, like Jisu is something to be pitied, squeezing her knee. “But just slow down a bit, take it one day at a time. Get to know her a bit more and—”
“You don't understand.” Jisu sits up, grabbing her friend by the shoulders. “I don't want to take it slow, I want a ring on her finger by next week,” she half-jokes, shaking her friend.

Now that Will’s sitting and Mike’s the one that’s standing, he looks impossibly tall. Tall and lanky, and huge. He should sit back down, Will thinks, lay back down next to Will and stay in their own secluded little bubble.
“I really want to kiss you,” Mike says, and Will’s eyes snap back up to his so violently he thinks he hears his own neck crack with the force of it.
“Don’t,” Will croaks, before his brain has even processed the words. “Don’t say that.”
“Okay,” Mike says easily, still staring. And what the actual fuck is going on? Is Will hallucinating? Is the weed making him hallucinate? “So sausage and pepperoni?”
Will stares dumbly at him. “Um - yeah. Yes.”
“Cool,” Mike replies and then just turns around and leaves Will sitting dumbly in his own room.

Humans are cute, Felix decided. They string lights up when it gets cold outside. They collect shiny objects to decorate themselves and their nest with- and when it gets dark, they grow drowsy and burrow themselves under fluffy quilts. Humans aren’t aquatic creatures to say the least- without fins or webbed feet or even the ability to breath submerged! But they still flock around sources of water to splash and play.
This human, though- there was something quite peculiar about him. Strange. Instead of looking at him with utter fear, shock, or in some cases arousal- he just seemed confused. The cute twitch of his nose and the tilt of his head. “What are you doing here?”
“Umm… you didn’t summon me?”
“What? No. Why would I summon a sex demon?”
“I don’t know, maybe to have sex with?”
The human seemed utterly perplexed. “Well, it was nice to meet you incubus, but you can go back to hell now.”
And that's the thing. Felix couldn’t.
