After encountering a stolen crystal with apparent magical properties, Billy Batson is split from Captain Marvel, leaving them as separate people.
Billy tried desperately to get to Captain Marvel’s unconscious body, but he was grabbed by Green Arrow who tried to keep him away. Billy struggled, his breathing heavy as he tried to think of what to do.He choked out the first thing he could think of. “That’s my Dad–!” Instantly the grip loosened enough for him to push out of it.
When Captain Marvel awoke, he found that not only did he have to deal with what had happened to them, but he also had to keep up the misunderstanding that the League had thought Billy was his son.
