Mira read the text on her phone several times. She checked the source. The place, it was real. It seemed too good to be true.
Zoey read the text a few times, translated it from Korean to English and then back to Korean to make sure she was understanding it well. Fuck, this was exactly what she was looking for.

“In a regular drama,” Zoey says, “there would be a reason we all got transmigrated, right? Like there’s a terrible wrong that needs to be righted, or whatever.”
“Right,” says Rumi.
“I guess so,” says Mira, who doesn’t join Zoey and Rumi very often while they’re watching period dramas.
“Take my word for it,” says Zoey. “So there’s definitely a reason for us being here. So we just have to figure out what it is.”

He needed to get their attention focused on the information he could offer, instead of the threat he represented. He needed them to not immediately see him as a danger and try to kill him. Just a friendly demon here for a friendly chat, no need for weapons.
“Hey. You know your boyfriend is trapped in your sword, right?”
So, yeah, that didn’t work.
Or: Jinu's plan was a flop, but that's fine. Baby has a plan, too. "Fuck it, we ball," counts as a plan, right? Right.

Summary
From HUNTR/X's perspective, the demons they fight are trying out some kind of new scheme: a rival, demonic boy band that preys upon their fans, and it's working. And on top of that? Their manager, some poor middle aged man with sad eyes and a perpetually exhausted demeanor, clearly has no idea of who and what they truly are.
From the Saja Boys' perspective, they've finally escaped Gwi-Ma's tyranny with the help of the demon world's most notorious and powerful traitor, and are now trying to live it up in the human world as idols with said traitor managing them. With the hunters convinced they're up to no good, it's easier said than done.
From Tae Oh's perspective, he's back in the human world for the first time in over twenty years, helping five young sajas who spent their whole spiritual existence under Gwi-Ma's thumb stand on their own in every way possible while stuck watching from the sidelines as his daughter burns like her mother did.
(OR: AU where Rumi's demonic father is the Saja Boys' manager. Hijinks and drama ensue.)

Summary
So. Rumi had known that she was a demon for awhile now. (And obviously, everyone knew that demons were bad.) Thus, logically, Rumi was aware on some level that she was bad.
The thing was, though - there were a lot of demons around. Most of the people that Rumi knew, actually. All had the same striped patterns on their skin that she did - and while they could be nasty or mean, most of the time they were just... ordinary, really. Polite and nice, usually. (Celine never seemed bothered by them, at least.)
Frankly, Rumi would have expected being a demon to be less boring.Otherwise known as: Rumi makes an assumption, discovers that that assumption was IncorrectTM, and promptly proceeds to double down and make a metric shit ton more assumptions because of it. (This does not go well for her.)
