Caspian finds him in the rapier practice room off the main office—sweat-soaked, tight-lipped, cutting ward knots around their practice dummy with grim and silent concentration.
After a moment of observing Peter’s brutally precise cuts and patterns, Caspian steps into the room proper, palming a practice rapier out of the barrel against the wall, and approaches barefoot across the mats. Without breaking stride, Peter wheels round to face him, falling easily into a stance better suited for human combat, rather than spectral—as though he’s known Caspian was here the whole time without Caspian needing to say a word.
Knowing Peter, he might well have.

Summary
He still isn’t sure what the woman does for a living, or anything about her personal life, for that matter. It’s another thing about her that only serves to addle him further. He keeps receiving answers from her and yet, once he goes home and thinks over every word she’s given him, he realizes he has nothing on her. He only has the memory of her deep eyes. Of nimble fingers placing pieces over the board without hesitation, already calculating ahead for the next three moves. It challenges Doyeong and forces him to thoroughly think and pick through his repertoire of strategies, and it thrills him.
And it’s dangerous.

only has 7 chapters bc 8 is an A/N that i didn't see until i clicked into it
really liked this. i don't normally read unfinished things but i gave it a shot since it wasn't like 94/? chapters. I particularly liked all the side characters + Dongeun and Doyeong's friendship there at the end was something that I was really liking in the way it was progressing
ALSO it's not time travel where he remembers anything concrete, which turned out to be more refreshing than i would've thought. a good read, all in all, and quite sad for me that it's unfinished and seemingly with remain so. subscribing just in case!!

really fell in love with this one. i think i finished it in a day and a half
the one where...they DO get exiled near the end but it works out for them (they don't go back but they build their own lives away from Berk and have a good time of it). lowkey wish we got a sequel dedicated to building that life away from Berk but I'm also satisfied with the ending so it's okay

Ned believes himself trapped in one of the seven hells until someone offers to let him go back and live life again.
